You’re one of the few that believed in me
Love me for who I am
Unconditional
Not a means to an end
With phony smiles
And BS praise
That pour from the mouths
From phony salesmen.

This self-pity
You tell me to cease
I’ve retired from sharing my heart
As it would only bring further unhappiness
And you deserve far more
The door used to be open far and wide
Now just a crack
And without an 180
It will be closed
Locked forever.

I’ve comeback from far worse
But I’m exhausted
With fighting a past
I choose to believe the negative vibes
That surround me
Instead of seeing and feeling the positivity
And chucking the rest to the side of the road
With all the resentments
Hurts
Pain
That others have suffered
Conquered and overcome.

If I don’t say it enough
I’m truly thankful
And grateful for all you do
And have done
For a seat in heaven is assured for you.
