Work in slow progress
Pardon the dust
Up and running soon
To the best of ability
Visualize it to be so
Too often spinning my wheels
In a vat of decay
When I yearned to lie in the field
Gazing at the stars
Feeling the sun
Being at one with you.

Past successes shouldn’t weigh
On the mind
A treasure chest of memories
To turn to when the spirit is flagging
Hope is dire
Inspiration is flat lined
Yearns to be on fire
For it only one day
Not a lifetime.

Get back to the confidence
That once poured from every cell
Not of haughty arrogance
That is the ruse of cowardly blowhards
The strength you possessed
Seemed to vanish overnight
Began to have doubts
Believed what they said about you
For they are only human
Encourage
Give of the heart
Though words can be potentially beautiful
They lose meaning
If you don’t believe them
Aren’t you getting tired?
Of being pushed around by the real perpetrator?
