Digging up the dirt
Voraciously praying
To find something to prove a theory
I’m not worthy of anything
Resembling happiness
A feeling of success
While the deficits in your ledger
Are allowed and accepted
The concept of free will
Being proved to the hilt.

Such hypocrisy on the hill
I’m not good enough
To belong in your club
But grant me my humanity
For yearning to life my life without distractions
And negative personas
You won’t stop me from getting to the Promised Land.

If you’re in need of a helping hand
I won’t turn you away
Or dismiss you as a leper
But expect me to walk away
When the deed is done
I’m in tune to your manipulation
Refuse to be a slave to your delusional lust for power.

For its time to look beyond our ingrained assumptions
We may discover the truth and be aware
It may blow our preconceived notions
And ignorant beliefs to smithereens.
