We live according to the skin,
Not to the flesh but are debtors;
Temptations causing us to sin,
Our conscience as repenters.

According to the flesh you die,
But if you live by the Spirit;
That death the body will defy,
You will live through faith and merit.

All who are led by the Spirit,
Are the sons and daughters of God;
Salvation that they inherit,
And will always honor and laud.

You received not through slavery,
For bondage again into fear;
But confidence in bravery,
Through His Spirit as you revere.

By whom we cry, “Abba, Father”,
The Spirit Himself bears witness;
One that shows love not a loather,
Conditioned spiritual fitness.

If as children then they are heirs,
They are then fellow heirs with Christ;
Glorified with Him as He shares,
Consecrated when sacrificed.
