O Lord, You have searched me and know,
When I sit down and I rise up;
You discern my of thoughts that show,
The morning coffee in my cup.

You search my path as I lie down,
And acquainted with all my ways;
You know when my face wears a frown,
And knowing when I sing a praise.

There is not a word on my tongue,
You already know what I say;
As my breath is filling my lung,
You are hearing what I will pray.

You have beset me from behind,
As You lay Your hand upon me;
Since my thoughts are clearly defined,
So soon You know what my eyes see.

Such knowledge is too wonderful,
It’s too high for me to attain;
Your all-knowing is powerful,
The understanding to obtain.
