His Spirit helps through infirmities,
For we do not know what to pray;
As He intercedes with pleas,
When we can’t utter when we stray.

Groanings too deep for any thought,
Uttered words searched that the heart knows;
For the Holy Spirit has sought,
Intercession that the mind shows.

For the saints granted to God’s will,
As we know that for those who love;
All things work together instill,
For blessings that flow from above.

Those who He foreknew He ordained,
Formed to the image of His Son;
In order that might be obtained,
The firstborn of many has done.

Those who He predestined He called,
For whom He called were justified;
No longer are they to be flawed,
By His Spirit be glorified.
