No thief can steal my treasures,
if I leave my house alone.
Should I jerk and twist and whine
between my laughs and chuckles?

Silence silently recedes down the
gray twilights of time.
Let me go to the land of snow or to
the mighty lake.
I'm the captain and I'm the crew, we
shall sail whereever I say.

I more than dreamed under the spell,
where it's Christmas and 4th of July
all year long.
The world will not remember what I say
here.
The music is near the port, I can hear
all the people cheering.

Theres a tang of the snow covered
ground.
Let me play the color game, and fill an
idle hour.
Hold fast to the rock of truth each
minute of the day,
Time adds a splendor to fame so fair.
