I urge that your supplications,
And the thanksgivings in your prayer;
Include any intercessions,
For all people be made to share.

All who are in high positions,
Lead a peaceful and quiet life;
Noble and godly traditions,
Enabled to avoid the strife.

It’s pleasing to the sight of God,
Who desires all to be saved;
Enabled to honor and laud,
And never to sin be enslaved.

Come to the wisdom and knowledge,
There is one God, persons in three;
One mediator to acknowledge,
That’s Christ Jesus for you and me.

Sacrificed as ransom for all,
In due time to be testified;
As the second Adam to fall,
In having to be crucified.

For I speak the truth, not to lie,
That through my faith in what I write;
As a poet and teacher to try,
In guiding you into His light.
