I charge you not to be haughty,
Nor trust in uncertain riches;
But provide you to be godly,
For satisfying your itches.

They are to be rich in good deeds,
Be generous ready to share;
Willing in expressing the needs,
With all of those to whom we care.

Store up treasure for the future,
As part of a good foundation;
That will make you a new creature,
Preparing for your salvation.

Take hold of which is truly life,
Guard the deposit entrusted;
Contradictions constitute strife,
Vain babblings what you had lusted.

Resistance to science untrue,
By professing it will have erred;
Concerning the faith to pursue,
Never contradict of the Word.
