Nights I have been awake and alone
Thinking of my gift to the worlds good cheer
I will cease to have resentment when another
moves ahead
I look back to yesterday and I seek for tomorrow
Ive traced the trip the planets take across the
charted sky
I will not be swayed by envy when my rivals
strength is shown
The day is dying in the night
When they say i shouldnt go I will tell a little lie
A savage land a land withdrawn where only
silence speaks
And it disturbs my judgement of the hour
The good will of the rain that loves the leaves
Touching the top of a towering spite
Even the mice need to sleep
