Count it as joy if you might fall.
Into divers of temptation,
Ensuring in prayer that you call,
Addressing a lamentation.

For testing your faith as you know,
Produces your steadfast patience;
A perseverance that will show,
Your avoidance of arrogance.

Let the steadfastness work perfect,
Have full effect lacking nothing;
Asking of God never reject,
Of His answer that He may bring.

If any of you lacking wisdom,
Ask God who gives generously;
His will is giving you freedom,
When living harmoniously.

Ask in faith with never a doubt,
For doubts are like waves in the sea;
Since the wind will toss them about,
A driving force as fancy free.

For you must not ever suppose,
Anything from the Lord receives;
His response might be to oppose,
From whoever does not believes.

He is a double-minded man,
And unstable in all his ways;
Not following in the Lord’s plan,
Since he continuously strays.
