Be alert and of sober mind,
The devil prowls like a lion;
His deception will make you blind,
Eat you before you get to Zion.
Be firm in your faith and resist,
Know the same kind of suffering;
In your brotherhood to exist,
The world through Christ is buffering.
For you have suffered in this place,
Eternal glory will restore;
Confirm and strengthen by His grace,
Christ established as your Savior.
He will lead and lives in the flock,
For He is the Shepherd of God;
Glory and dominion to walk,
Forever and ever, we laud.
