Good to Trust in God

In distress I called to the Lord,
He answered me and set me free;
He continues to be adored,
For confidence He gives to me.
Because the Lord is on my side,
Of others I will never fear;
What can they do as justified,
When knowing that the Lord is near.
He is on my side as my aid,
I shall look in triumph those who hate;
With the Lord I can’t be afraid,
Knowing His wrath will seal their fate.
It is better to trust the Lord,
Than putting confidence in man;
Kings and princes must be deplored,
For only wealth is in their plan.
