I rejoice in my suffering,
I fill up with what is lacking;
Afflictions that are buffering,
From Jesus who has been backing.

Because His body is the church,
Of which I became a poet;
A stewardship from God to search,
The Word of God and have known it.

Mysteries hidden for ages,
Generations but now revealed;
God chose to release in stages,
From the secrets that have been sealed.

For God chose in making them known,
Of the riches of the glory;
Which is in Christ in you as shown,
For the hope within His story.

We proclaim a warning to all,
With all wisdom that has been taught;
Be careful that you do not fall,
From what Satan temptations sought.

For this I labor and struggle,
From powerful works within me;
But I’m cheerful not to grumble,
For the results that I will see.
