Bless the Lord, O my soul,
You O Lord are very great;
You buffer me to console,
Frets to alleviate.

You are clothed with splendor,
Showing your majesty;
I humbly give honor,
Purified dignity.

Your garment shines the light,
Stretching to Heaven;
So intense to blind my sight,
That my sin has driven.

Beams laid for Your chamber,
The clouds Your chariot;
Riding wings to wander,
As a just patriot.

You make angel spirit,
Ministers a fire;
Sets the earth through merit,
Groundwork to desire.

Covered with deep garment,
It should never be moved;
Waters for atonement,
Above that You approved.

At Your rebuke they fled,
At the sound of thunder;
They took to flight that led,
For their fate to plunder.

Valleys sank, mountains rose,
The place where You decreed;
A place where no one knows,
No escape to proceed.

You have set a boundary,
That they may never pass;
For they are history,
Because their sinful trespass.
