Before faith we were held captive,
And imprisoned under the Law;
Until faith had become active,
When confessed and erased the flaw.

The Law was our guardian,
Until Christ came and justified;
By faith became a champion,
After He had been crucified.

Because now that faith has arrived,
For in Jesus, you are a son;
With salvation we have survived,
An eternal life has been won.

Many of you have been baptized,
Considered as children of God;
Even though the world has chastised,
Continue to honor and laud.

There is neither a Greek or Jew,
Neither is there a slave or free;
No male or female to construe,
You are in Christ as to decree.

Then you are Abraham’s offspring,
Heirs according to the promise;
The Father’s blessings that will bring,
Salvation from righteous justice.
