Two are better than just one,
Good reward for their labor;
The work of two can be done,
More quickly with your neighbor.

One can lift up the other,
If one fellow just might fall;
Lend a hand to your brother,
Is helping them to stand tall.

Woe to him who is alone,
And he has not another;
No one else to hear him groan,
Feeling under the weather.

If two will lie together,
They keep each other when cold,
But if they do not gather,
There is no warmth for to hold.

Although a man might prevail,
Two are able to withstand;
A threefold cord will entail,
Than it can break just one strand.
