I remind you of these things,
Being charged before the Lord;
Knowing what quarreling brings,
Never let it be ignored.

Words do not strive for profit,
Just ruins what others hear;
Which does no good for merit,
Never considered sincere.

Present yourself as approved,
Faithful servant of the Lord;
Handling of the truth behooved,
And living in one accord.

There’s no need to be ashamed,
Justify the Word of truth;
Speak as it should be proclaimed,
Never in sounding uncouth.

Shun profane and vain babble,
It leads to ungodliness;
Steer clear of any fable,
Since most are unhallowedness.

Their talk will spread like cancer,
As it will swerve from the truth;
Stabbing you like a lancer,
Others as feeling forsooth.

Resurrection already past,
Makes some of faith be upset;
As their feelings to downcast,
For not erasing of their debt.

God’s firm foundation still stands,
Iniquity will depart;
When your confession demands,
With honesty from your heart.
