We are debtors, not to the flesh,
According to the life we live;
As we age, we’re no longer fresh,
Iniquities we are captive.

Live of the flesh and you shall die,
But His Spirit puts death the deeds;
Eternally live if you try,
That as His Spirit intercedes.

All who are led by His Spirit,
Will be sons and daughters of God;
And enabled to inherit,
No longer in becoming flawed.

To whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Slavery falls back into fear;
And Jesus is our Brother,
As the triune God we revere.

The Holy Spirit will bear witness,
A child of God in spirit;
Checking your spiritual fitness,
And performing godly merit.

If as children and then as heirs,
Provided we suffer with Christ;
We are glorified as He shares,
Of what He was then sacrificed.
