Give an ear God, and I will speak,
Let earth and Heaven hear my words;
May my teaching drop rain I seek,
My speech extract to fly like birds.

Like gentle rain upon the grass,
And like showers upon the herb;
The Word of the Lord shall not pass,
Proclaim His name upon His Word.

I proclaim the name of the Lord,
Ascribe the greatness of our God;
Showing He is loved and adored,
In worship to honor and laud.

His work as the Rock is perfect,
For all of His ways are justice;
His faithfulness we must respect,
Being holy He is righteous.

Some have dealt Him profanely,
No more His children now perverse;
In Satan’s control mundanely,
Twisted generation to curse.

Do you thus repay to the Lord,
O foolish and senseless people?
The One who produced you ignored,
Letting your salvation crumble.
