For the wrath of God is revealed,
From Heaven against godlessness;
Suppressing the truth unconcealed,
By men of the unrighteousness.

What can be known of God is plain.
Because God has shown it to them;
For concealed attributes remain,
Eternal power to condemn.

Endless might and Divine nature,
Clearly perceived since creation;
In the things of earth that feature,
No excuse or explanation.

Although they knew they did not honor.
Were futile in their thinking;
Foolish heart not as a fawner,
Found enjoyment in their drinking.

They claimed themselves as to be wise,
But they have become idiot fools;
Exchanged the glory and closed their eyes,
To immortal God and His rules.

Images made of mortal man,
Birds, beasts and of the creeping things;
As of a corruptible plan,
Earthly enjoyment that it brings.
