Sad demon where dost though lurk
She hides in the open
Watching the humans work
For a certain task she was chosen
She once walked amongst the angels
Until with much shame she took a great fall
Because of sin she underwent many changes
God loved her greatly and watched it all
She was once loved by all she met
They were even watching her way up in heaven
She was ready to go home but it wasn't her time yet
In her palm she witnessed the stars of seven
Who she was she did not know
Through eyes of the servant she read the great book
How her love for God did grow
She offered her prayers which he lovingly took
While in a trance after many days fasting
In candle light she gazed upon the mirror
Unaware she had company and they were there casting
No one was there but a voice she could hear
Though her prayers were meant for God someone else was listening
The Fallen one had also heard her prayer
And into her ears he began whispering
She started off great she was doing so well
She resisted sin she put up a great fight
She had finally broke free from her human shell
She won battles day and night
But over time she began to doubt
And while in distress went back to her old ways
That light inside of her soon burned out
Leaving her in a dreadful haze
Leaving her stuck between heaven and hell
What has she done they were counting on her
Her days with them are done no more story to tell
She no longer hears them whisper
She allowed corruption to take over her mind
Forgetting the dark ones she brought to the light
In being untrue she's been left behind
No longer protected in the night
She gave up on herself not knowing her gain
She had helped the lost even demons she did save
But she lost sight of God so with the demons she'll remain
Her untold story she'll take to the grave
Had only she believed in her heart
She was special and not all can be seen
Spirit weaving is truly an art
If only she'd known where she truly had been
