Letter to 2020 São Paulo City Council Candidates
Gentlemen, ladies, everything in our city is so worrying.
I know that we, the taxpayers and you together, are the cause of floods, because we built on top of the streams (our streams of yore), now a vast open sewer afflicts us.
Gentlemen, I ask you to look for the environment, be smart, say that in the center of São Paulo there are urban buildings, repair them, keep them to be occupied by people who live on the edge of our streams.
And, I mean, more, gentlemen councilors, murdering trees is like committing suicide to ourselves, humans. There in Anhagabaú, where São Paulo started, it had a navigable river, it had a forest, and today the unbearable heat of cement, artificial lights, and the river disappeared beneath so much concrete that many Paulistanos don't even remember it anymore.
Not to mention gentlemen, of my eternal environmental concern, there is the side of inclusion, making sustainable paving with our scientists, placing grids that do not leave the garbage that we have thrown into the channels, cleaning costs a city, Sabesp and Vida. In contrast, many culverts fit teenagers, animals, and when we have runoff, they are taken to their deaths. Let us know how to avoid this with precise practices and so that the population cooperates, a fine for those who throw garbage on the streets, we can see, since we live in a big Big Brother, without making millions, but cameras everywhere, and yet they let it happen .
And, in São Paulo, fruits of Northeasterners, northerners, Europeans, Africans, it doesn't matter our color, but the love for the city, and the respect for it, and for all of us.
Another factor, so many of you, as candidates for mayors, councilors, vices, advisors, voted to remove bus collectors, I believe that they never got on a bus in their lives, and when they do, they take to the TV cameras, and the buses empty, because they don’t go during peak hours, as many Globo reporters have already faced, and taking this agenda into account, collectors are necessary, because today we have wheelchair users, people with difficulties and often they are the collectors who help getting on and off the buses, and many others, like my husband, are family members, and I am proud, because my father Francisco da Silva Mendes (In Memorian) also had this profession. Out of gratitude, do not take the bread, even if little of N families from São Paulo, the driver if someone is ill, a pregnant woman who for some reason can go into labor, only the collector to assist, while the driver takes the bus to the nearest hospital to save that life.
Their families, I also believe that they did not face full buses, confusion, delays, and the delay in rainy days, as today, and that is related to what I mentioned about the floods, about us plundering the City.
And, gentlemen, change the question of accessibility of public schools, my children studied at EMEF Profº Mário Schomberg (Vila Missionária), for a responsible person to go to the school office, go down a steep staircase, and we often have difficulties and many schools do not have accessibility neither for the student nor for his family.
So, speaking of schools, education, giving more value to those who teach and transmit knowledge to all other professions, paying them better, and also showing those in government that Education is the solution for everything.
Anyway, this is my way of saying maybe to believe in whoever will vote, not to mention, that it comes from mimimis, and that the solution to everything is God, and to build solid families, because, today, we can say nothing, and we (people 50, 51, 53 ... old) we survived the "bullyings", "teasing" of our past, and today everything is too aggressive, so don't criticize what is family and spiritual concepts.
Come on, make São Paulo a City of Peace, and without saying that a councilor praises the Lord, but attacks his wife, what is this preaching? !!!
I ask you to help São Paulo to grow, and to celebrate Family, Education, Environment, Respect, adding all this, however we will have as a result God, and happy the Nation that has God as its Lord. This GOD can be called Jehovah, Allah, Yahweh, Emmanuel, Oxalá. We will respect each other and good luck to those who get there.
Peace, well, health, wisdom, light to us all.

PS. Leave what Dória left good, the selective collection of dry materials, recycling. And remembering that we, the population, need SUS, it is a priority for us, a health system for the poor.
